Alexander DeMare, M.D.

Dr. Alexander DeMare is a board-certified general surgeon and specialist in hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and complex gastrointestinal surgery. He is native of Southeast Michigan and earned his medical degree from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at Beaumont Health in Royal Oak, Michigan, where he served as chief resident during his final year. He subsequently completed a Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. DeMare has numerous publications, as well as local and regional research awards. He is a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He is member of the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (AHPBA), Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO), and the American College of Surgeons (ACS).

Dr. DeMare treats both benign and malignant conditions of the liver, pancreas, bile ducts, gallbladder, stomach, small intestine, retroperitoneum, and peritoneal lining.
